Incentives
Ohio Wind Production Incentive Program The Ohio Wind Production & Manufacturing Incentive Program is the result of funds collected through Ohio’s Advanced Energy Fund. Selected projects will receive a wind energy production incentive ranging from $.01 to $.012 per kilowatt-hour for electricity produced from projects that begin commercial operation in the State of Ohio on or before June 30, 2009.

Production Incentive Rate
The production incentive will be paid at a rate of 1.0 cent per kilowatt-hour generated.

Enhanced Incentive Rate for Ohio-Manufactured Wind Turbines
A production incentive rate of 1.2 cents per kilowatt-hour generated will be offered to projects that utilize Ohio-Manufactured wind turbines.  For the sake of this program, an Ohio-Manufactured turbine is defined as:

Turbine: The nacelle, blades, and tower, and all components included therein

Ohio-Manufactured: At least 30% of the total turbine cost comes from parts directly manufactured in Ohio; OR one of the major turbine component groups – nacelle, blades, or tower – is completely manufactured in Ohio; OR the turbine is completely assembled in Ohio with a workforce of at least 50 employees dedicated to this task.
