Why Now?
Producing our own clean energy will not only help reduce our dependence on out of state energy resources it will also reinvigorate Ohio’s manufacturing base and rural communities. Ohio has the potential to be a world leader in the manufacturing of components for wind turbines. Many Ohio businesses are already providing component parts for wind turbines all over the world. With further investment in wind energy, Ohio can revive many manufacturing companies with this new product demand. Ohio is also in the running for a large-scale wind turbine testing facility that could put Ohio in the forefront of developing wind turbine technologies. Ohio has the potential to be the silicon valley of wind energy and lead the world in the newest clean energy technologies. If wind is not harnessed as a viable source of renewable energy, then what?
